by Dan Kelly
Dan Kelly

Biography:

Daniel "Dan" Kelly (born 1974) is an Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist.

Kelly is the second oldest of six children, and the nephew of Paul Kelly. He grew up in Queensland and learnt the guitar at thirteen, studying Environmental Science at University, in Brisbane, in 1990. He formed his first band, Nord, in Brisbane before moving to Melbourne in 1996, where in 2000 he started playing solo shows, under the name Dank Alley, not wanting to trade on his famous uncle’s name.

Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

F# and A notes are emphasised during fingerpicking over E chords in verses,
'A' chords in the verses also feature a sus4 frequently, in fact many of the
chords have other 'colourings' over the top of them, I'll (bracket) chords
that I suggest work for the first verse and chorus, but here's as good as I
can get without getting hugely confusing trying to write out exactly which
notes feature in which chords, because the variations change frequently.
Best to just listen along with the recording and make your own conclusions
on what to emphasise, this should be good enough though (hopefully...)
the song's just as good with the root chords played, so enjoy!
