Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

Love this song. Also one of his originals that he's been playing on the Inspired Attempt tour that should be
on his upcoming album! Once there's a recorded version, the chords may sound a little different, but this
sounds great with the version he's been playing.

Version I used:

[Intro]
F A

[Verse]
Dm Bb
I lost my head going for a crown
F A
And it's quite a funny story but I'll never write it down
Dm Bb
They switched my blood out with ink
F A
Then wrote a book inside me, thus forcing me to read
Dm Bb
Line by line, rib by rib
F A
Improper punctuation is puncturing my skin
Dm A
And yeah it hurts, but not too much
F A
Cuz I've got an ugly cover but who are you to judge?

[Chorus]
Bb C
This open book, an open book
Bb A Dm
Another wasted tree
Bb C
An open book, an open book
F A Dm
With dust to cover me
Bb C F A
I'm just an open book that no one wants to read

[Verse]
Dm Bb
I've got these hands that I don't want
F A
And they shake with every letter as I scribble down my thoughts
Dm Bb
With sloppy words and sloppy form
F A
They end up on crumpled paper I throw idly on the floor
Dm Bb
But every page is yours to write
F A
We're all just pointless stories connected at the spine
Dm Bb
And by ourselves we don't make sense
F A
But when you put us all together, you start to comprehend

[Chorus]
Bb C
This open book, an open book
Bb A Dm
Another wasted tree
Bb C
An open book, an open book
F A Dm
With dust to cover me
Bb A
I'm just an open book that no one wants to read

[Bridge]
Bb C
This life, it tears us to shreds
F Em Dm
Thrown on a pile to be burned with all the rest
Bb C
Just note the raindrop on a page
F Em Dm
We use our music to distort the words we say
Bb C
Cuz I think you'll like me this way

[Chorus]
Bb C
An open book, an open book
Bb A Dm
Another wasted tree
Bb C
An open book, an open book
F A Dm
With dirt to cover me
Bb C
I'm just another book that you don't want

Bb C
An open book, an open book
Bb A Dm
Another wasted tree
Bb C
An open book, an open book
F A Dm
With dust to cover me
Bb N.C.
I'm just an open book that no one wants to read
