Cranes

Biography:

Cranes are a shoegaze/dream pop group fronted by Alison Shaw and formed in 1986. They were originally based on the south coast of England in Portsmouth.

The band released their first album on vinyl, Self Non Self in July 1989. The intensity of that album garnered very good reviews and caught the attention of John Peel, who picked up on the album right away, with the group recording a session for him in the album's first week of release. Shortly

Cranes - September

Tune down 1/2 step to Eb.

The chord progression is:

Bsus4 Asus2 G Em Asus2
xx4400 x02200 320003 022000 x02200

Bsus4 Asus2 G
If you would just, if you’d just hold on to me, it would make me happy

Em Asus2
If you’d just hold on to me, I won't feel so empty

Bsus4 Asus2 G
With our eyes closed tightly, just as close as we can be

Em Asus2 Bsus4
Like a rainbow made just for me, oh these times were precious to me

Overwhelming happy dreams
Pass by my eyes and make me feel
Like in summer, warmer things
And then it all falls down in streams

Lead Guitar after Verse 3:

Bsus4 Asus2 G Em Asus2
e-----------------------------------------------------------|
B-----------------------------------------------------------|
G----77-77-7-79--66-66-6-67--44-44-4-4---7-6-7---7-6-4------|
D-----------------------------------------------------------|
A-----------------------------------------------------------|
E-----------------------------------------------------------|

Overwhelming beautiful dreams
That I can feel and I can see
That I can feel and I can see

And if I never see you again
And if this is truly the end
I can’t bear to say goodbye

But I loved you, just wanted you to know
I'm so sorry I never told you so

I've loved you, just wanted you to know
I’m so sorry I never told you so...
