Cliff Richard

Lucky Lips

by Cliff Richard
Cliff Richard

Biography:

Sir Cliff Richard (born Harry Rodger Webb, 1940-10-14, in Lucknow, India) moved as an 8-year-old to the UK, where it would be 10 more years before he and his group The Drifters emerged in the UK charts for the first time with 'Move It'. Cliff was heavily influenced by Elvis, imitating him shamelessly during the first couple of years of his career. Something which he openly admits, and fully acknowledges that without Elvis, he and many others would never have happened.

INTRO:
E A B
du-du-du-du-du, du-du-du-du-du, du-du-du-du-du, whoa, whoa,

whoa, whoa..(x2)

#1.

E B7
When I was just a baby, I didn't have many toys,
E
but my mama used to say,'Son, you got more than other boys.'
E7 A
Now, you may not be good looking, and you may not be too
A
rich,
B7
but you'll never ever be alone, cause you've got lucky
E
lips.

CHORUS:
E B7
Lucky lips are always kissing, lucky lips are never blue,
E
lucky lips will always find a pair of lips so true.
E7 A
Don't need a four-leaf clover, rabbit's foot or good luck

charm,
B7 E
with lucky lips you'll always have a baby in your arms.

INTERLUDE:
E A B
du-du-du-du-du, du-du-du-du-du, du-du-du-du-du, whoa, whoa,

whoa, whoa..

#2.
E B7
Now, I never get heartbroken, no, I never get the blues,
E
and if I play the game of love, I know I just can't lose.
E7 A
When they spin that wheel of fortune, all I do is kiss my

chips,
B7
and I know I'm bound to win, yeah, cause I've got lucky
E
lips.

CHORUS:

OUTRO:
