It just takes one hit to put you in your place
Am F C G
(It just takes one hit to put you in your place)

F
Tell me what you want, I’m all ears,
C
I’ll give you all I got, blood sweat and tears yeah!

Tell me what you need, I’ll do my job

Am F C G
I’ll meet you in the middle like it’s going out of style
Am F C G
I’ll meet you in the middle like it’s going out of style

Verse:
Am F C G
Well a one way ticket and a recipe for sorrow.
Am F C G
(Counting down all the miles in the heat of a long haul)

Running on empty on numbers borrowed
Am F C G
(Heavy eyes between line and a dashboard)
C G
Bless your heart! Bless your soul!
