Long, dis-t-ance in-for-ma-tion, give me Mem-phis Ten-nes-see

Help me find the par-ty trying to get in touch with me

She could not leave her number, but I know who placed the call
A7 G A7 D
'Cause my uncle took the mes-sage and he wrote it on the wall

[Verse 2]
D C D C
Help me, in-for-ma-tion, get in touch with my Ma-rie
D C D A7
She's the only one who'd phone me here from Mem-phis Ten-nes-see
D7
Her home is on the south side, high up on a ridge
A7 G A7 D
Just a half a mile----- from the Mis-sis-sip-pi Bridge

[Verse 3]
D C D C
Help me, in-for-mation, more than that I cannot add
D C D A7
Only that I miss her and all the fun we had
D7
But we were pulled apart because her mom did not agree
A7 G A7 D
And tore apart our happy home in Mem-phis Ten-nes-see

[Verse 4]
D C D C
Last time I saw Ma-rie she's waving me good-bye
D C D A7
With hurry home drops on her cheek that trick-led from her eye
D7
Ma-rie is only six years old, in-for-ma-tion please
A7 G A7 D
And try to put me through to her in Mem-phis Ten-nes-see
