Fairytale Of New York:

This is the way he played it on jools holland, Capo on First fret.

Basically chords like this for first two verses:
C F C G
C F C G
C G

And then a slight change to:
C F C G
C G C F
G C

Then the third part is:
C
C F G C
C
C F G C
F C A
C F G C

It's just that repeated. But here how the timing is roughly.

C F
It was Christmas Eve babe in the drunk tank
C G
An old man said to me, won't see another one
C F
And then he sang a song The Rare Old Mountain Dew
C G C G
I turned my face away and dreamed about you.

Got on a lucky one came in eighteen to one
I've got a feeling this year's for me and you
So happy Christmas, I love you baby
There's gonna be some goodtime when all our dreams come true

C F
They've got cars big as bars, they've got rivers of gold
C G
But the wind goes right through you; it's no place for the old
C G
When you first took my hand, on a cold Christmas Eve
C F G C
You promised me Broadway was waiting for me.

C
You were handsome you were pretty, queen of New York City
C F G C
When the band finished playing they howled out for more
C
Sinatra was swinging, all the drunks they were singing
C F G C
We kissed on a corner then danced through the night.

Chorus:
F C A
The boys of the NYPD choir were singing "Galway Bay"
C F G C
And the bells were ringing out for Christmas day

C F
I could have been someone, well so could anyone
C G
You took my dreams from me when I first found you
C F
I kept them with me babe; I put them with my own
C G C G
Can't make it all alone, I've built my dreams around you

Chorus:
F C A
The boys of the NYPD choir were singing "Galway Bay"
C F G C
And the bells were ringing out for Christmas day

C F
You're a bum, you're a punk, you're an old slut on junk
C G
Lying there almost dead on a drip in that bed
C
You scumbag, you maggot, you cheap lousy faggot
C F G C
Happy Christmas my arse, I'd rather be dead.

Last chorus:
F C A
The boys of the NYPD choir were singing "Galway Bay"
C F G C
And the bells were ringing out for Christmas day
C F
So happy Christmas, I love you baby
C G C G
There's gonna be some goodtime when all our dreams come true
C
So, happy christmas, I love you baby
