G D
Here we stand in the mornin light.
C G
Wishing it was still last night.
G D
A glow of fire light in our eyes,
C D
And never a trace of goodbye.

G D
If this train station was our room.
C G
Then the sun would be the moon.
G D
And all our tears would be the rain.
C G
I wish that was thunder, not a train.

(Chorus)
A C
And while this southbound carries me to Burmingham.
Em D
I'll take your memory while the rails take me down.
G C
But I'll leave my heart to you.
D C G
I know you'll keep it safe, till my leavin's through.

G D
Keep our promise by your side.
C G
And let our true love be your guide.
G D
Through the miles that lie between.
C D
We'll close the distance when we dream.
G D
And while youre lyin in the dark,
C G
Waken with a gentle start.
G D
You hear your name upon the wind.
C G
I'm comin home to you again.

(Chorus)
D C G
I know you'll keep it safe, till my leavin's through.

(I could not find the lyrics anywhere to confirm these are 100% correct. Feel free to
