VERSE 1

G
Kansas wheatfields don't ask questions
C
like most the folks I've met
D
but if this storm don't stop the harvest
G
there's a chance I might forget

G
I'm trying not to think about you
C
but when this combine rocks and rolls
D
it shakes my mind, it shakes my body
G
the way your leavin' shook my soul

CHORUS

C
Here comes the rain
G
Here comes the rain

It's like standin' in your memory
D
and the feeling of it chills me
G
to the bone
C
Here comes the rain
G
Here comes the rain

When you love, the world loves with you
D
but when you're cryin' in the rain
G
you cry alone

VERSE 2

G
I'm workin' Texas to Alberta
C
thrashin' amber waves of grain
D
fillin' trucks from dawn to sunset
G
I wish they'd haul away the pain

G
There'll be a thousand miles between us
C
when I pass the border guard
D
Is that thunder in the distance
G
or just the breakin' of my heart

CHORUS X 2

C
Here comes the rain
G
Here comes the rain

It's like standin' in your memory
D
and the feeling of it chills me
G
to the bone
C
Here comes the rain
G
Here comes the rain

When you love, the world loves with you
D
but when you're cryin' in the rain
G
you cry alone
