Canada....What’s with Canada...
G C D
We got great big cities but a lot of trees and rocks
G C D
And ya the winter’s cold here, wear two pairs of socks

There’s half the world’s fresh water, to paddle your canoe

Camp along the shoreline, it’s what we like to do...

[Verse 2]
G C D
We tend to do things different, we each have our routine
G C D
Some of us eat kubassa, some of us, poutine (Ah, J’aime Poutine)
G C D
But we have traditions, that help us stick together
G C D
Our milk comes in a bag, and mosquitos eat at leisure.
Em Bm
Playing in a snowsuit, the True North strong and free
Am D
Hockey Night on Saturday, there on CBC, (or now on Sportsbet)

D G

[Verse 3]

G C D
We pronounce the letter R like we’re pirates on a ship
G C D
We’ll drive two thousand miles, on a summer camping trip.
G C D
We wear Sorels in winter, while plugging in the car
G C D
We eat the holes from donuts, we love Nanaimo bars.
Em Bm
And we do possess a word that lubricates our speech:
Am
“It’s pretty good, eh” (“It’s pretty good, eh” )
D
and it’s always within reach..

[Chorus]

G C D
In Canada (oooh)
G C D
How’s it goin In Canada (oooh)
G C D
Out and about In Canada (oooh)
G C D
Drop your G In Canada (oooh)
D
Oh oh oh oh oh…

[Bridge]

C D
I’ve slept out in the forest, scared I heard a bear.
C D
I’ve climbed a Rocky Mountain, just because it’s there,
C D
Crossed the great St Lawrence, said merci beaucoup,
D Bm C D
Pardon me; I’m sorry; excuse me; after you,

[Chorus]

G C D
In Canada (oooh)
G C D
Politely In Canada (oooh)
G C D
Line-up here In Canada (oooh)
G
You don’t butt, In Canada
C D
Oh oh oh oh oh…

[Verse 4]

G C D
Every city empties on the 24th of May. (Queen’s Birthday)
G C D
If we say “Not bad!”, (“Not bad!”) we’re better than OK, (“Not bad!”)
G C D
There’s workman’s comp and pogie, for when we’re shown the door.
G C D
There’s Canadian Tire money, in at least one kitchen drawer
Em Bm
And we have a golden rule that runs between these shores:
Am D
You stay out of my face, I’ll stay out of yours…

[Chorus]

G C D
In Canada (oooh)
G C D
I get along In Canada (oooh)
G C D
Kissed the cod In Canada (oooh)
G
The Friendly Giant’s In Canada
C Am
Oh oh oh oh oh…

[Outro]

D G G
Oh oh…. Canada…….
