Prophet es una agrupación de hard rock proveniente de New Jersey, USA.
No es una banda muy conocida a nivel internacional y tras su segundo disco desaparecieron , su estilo se asemeja al sonido hard rock desarrollado por grupos tipo Foreigner, Steelheart, Dokken y Europe. También tiene temas en estilo rock progresivo comercial. Como dato curioso, Ted Poley (cantante de Danger Danger) fue el batería en su primer disco y cantó en un par de temas (ayudando en los coros en el resto del disco).
