Miek en Roel

Miek & Roel are a Belgian (Dutch-speaking) duo consisting of Monique Holvoet (Ghent, February 12, 1944 - ) and Roel Van Bambost (Ghent, December 4, 1942 - ). They gained success in the genre of "Kleinkunst" (literally: "small art(-music)") with their socially aware lyrics and wrote classics such as "Jij en ik", "Wie wil horen", "Het verdronken land land van Saeftinge", "De grote revolutie" and "Jan met de pet". One of their best known covers is "Koop een geweer".
