En noviembre de 1960, un grupo de jóvenes se reunió para organizar un conjunto llamado, Los Ramblers. Antes habían realizado actuaciones sólo para divertirse. Por entonces eran cinco: Jorge Rojas, Francisco Arlegui, Alex Aparicio, Romeo Bader y Juan Castillo.
