5566 is a Taiwanese boy band which debuted in 2002. Their first succes was mainly due to their soundtrack for My MVP Valentine.
In 2003 they were chosen to represent Taiwan at the International Asian Song Festival and took the first place. The first victory for Taiwan in the festival.
They are hugely popular throughout South East Asia. Not only in Chinese speaking countries but also in Indonesia and Malaysia.
The current members are Zax Wang, Jason Hsu, Sam Wang and Tony Sun.
